About The Position

The Produce Clerk provides excellent guest service through produce department activities. The role includes preparing produce for display, maintaining product freshness and quality, and keeping the backroom, cooler, and sales area sanitary. The clerk also assists with deliveries, helps guests with product knowledge and preparation, weighs products, and communicates guest requests and temperature breakdowns to management. Additional duties may be assigned by management.

Requirements

Friendly, outgoing personality.
Ability to work well with others.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly and 25 lbs. constantly.
Ability to read and understand information and direction.
Effective communication and guest service skills.
Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time.
Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

Greet and interact with guests politely and in a friendly manner.
Prepare produce for display on the sales floor.
Stock, price, rotate, and place products on produce displays according to Lowes Foods standards.
Maintain the freshness and quality of produce for sale.
Assist with unloading product deliveries.
Provide guest service through product knowledge, preparation guidance, and product weighing.
Maintain sanitation standards in the backroom, cooler, and sales area.
Communicate guest requests to management.
Communicate temperature breakdowns to management.
Perform front-porch duties to help ensure there is no noticeable wait.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
