About The Position

The Produce Clerk provides customer service and maintains produce products and the department. Training is provided at the store level. Candidates must be available between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m., including weekends. The role offers 35 or more hours per week.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old to apply.
• Must be available between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. and on weekends.
• Able to bend and stoop.
• Able to work in a cold, damp environment.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to remain on feet for the entire 4–8-hour shift.

Nice To Haves

• For Store/Facility Teammates applying internally: six months of employment with Schnucks is preferred.
• For Store Support Center Teammates applying internally: one year of employment with Schnucks is preferred.
• Internal candidates must be in good standing, not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline. Interview candidates must have manager approval based on performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers.
• Maintain regular, reliable attendance.
• Stock, rotate, and straighten products.
• Water and ice down various products.
• Wash, trim, and wrap products.
• Remove products that do not meet company quality standards.
• Read and understand department signs.
• Follow company safety and sanitation procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned at the discretion of store management.
