About The Position

Kj’s Market is seeking a part-time Produce Clerk. The role prepares produce for display and maintains attractive, stocked displays while ensuring products remain fresh and high quality. The clerk assists guests with product knowledge, preparation, and weighing, helps unload deliveries, and maintains sanitation in the backroom, cooler, and sales area. The position also includes front-end duties and communicating guest requests or temperature breakdowns to management.

Requirements

Friendly, outgoing personality.
Ability to work well with others.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly and 25 lbs. constantly.
Ability to read and understand information and directions.
Effective communication and guest service skills.
Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all guests.
Prepare produce for display on the sales floor.
Stock, price, rotate, and place products on produce displays according to Floco Foods standards.
Maintain the freshness and quality of produce for sale.
Assist with unloading products upon delivery.
Assist guests with product knowledge, preparation, and product weighing.
Maintain sanitation standards in the backroom, cooler, and sales area.
Communicate guest requests to management.
Communicate temperature breakdowns to management.
Perform front-end duties to ensure there is no noticeable wait.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
