About The Position

At Rosauers Supermarkets, Produce Clerks prepare, package, and display fresh produce while maintaining quality and freshness. They help customers find produce, answer questions, and offer recommendations, contributing to an organized department and a positive shopping experience. The role also includes monitoring inventory, keeping displays stocked, staying informed about department promotions, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, complete a pre-employment background check, and obtain a current food workers card once employed where applicable. The role requires regularly lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 50 pounds, with essential functions performed with or without reasonable accommodation. Salary is $17.38–$21.96 per hour. Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Complete a pre-employment background check.
• Obtain a current food workers card once employed, where applicable.
• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of and passion for produce.
• Ability to regularly lift, carry, and push up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet customers, help them locate produce, answer questions, and provide recommendations.
• Wash, peel, cut, and package fresh produce.
• Stock and rotate produce, regularly check its freshness, and remove items that do not meet quality standards or show signs of spoilage.
• Monitor inventory and help keep the produce display area well stocked.
• Stay up to date with current, future, seasonal, and special department ads.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to provide a seamless customer experience.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
