Keep Fresh Produce Ready for Every Member As a Produce Associate at Sam's Club, you'll help bring fresh, high-quality produce to the center of our members' shopping experience. Whether members are planning everyday meals, stocking up for the week, or preparing for a larger gathering, your work helps make it happen. In this role, you'll spend your day stocking and rotating produce, monitoring freshness and quality, maintaining clean and organized displays, and supporting a fast-paced, high-volume department while delivering a great member experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining a positive attitude by smiling, greeting and thanking members
  • Providing exceptional customer service to members across the club as needed, answering any questions they may have
  • Maintaining a clean, neat, and member-ready area
  • Receiving & stocking merchandise in an organized manner
  • Maintaining inventory so that there is no out of stock and over-stock products
  • Trim, crisp, package, and scale produce according to established quality standards
  • Understand and communicate produce specifications, seasonality, preparation methods, and use
  • Stock and rotate department products using perpetual inventory management techniques
  • Monitor product quality, date control, and freshness; eliminate waste and dispose of lower-quality items
  • Maintain product safety by following food handling, Cold Chain, and sanitation guidelines
  • Use hand-held technology to make in-the-moment decisions about production and product quality
  • Assist members with product selection and provide friendly, knowledgeable service across the club as needed
  • Operate and sanitize equipment safely; report unsafe conditions and equipment issues to management
