About The Position

The Produce Associate is primarily responsible for customer service and stocking. The associate ensures products are fresh and attractive to customers by restocking shelves, organizing items, removing expired products, and assisting customers with their shopping needs. The role also helps maintain a clean, safe, and appealing store environment. Associates may support other departments as needed.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Detail-oriented, with a focus on cleanliness and organization.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and kneeling throughout the shift.
• Clear vision and hearing to ensure safety, accuracy, and effective communication.
• Ability to climb step stools or ladders as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Previous grocery or food handling experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of produce is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Stock and replenish shelves with fresh, well-presented products.
• Rotate items and remove expired goods to maintain quality.
• Provide friendly, welcoming customer service.
• Assist customers with locating items and fulfilling orders.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the department.
• Follow proper procedures for receiving, storing, labeling, and restocking products.
• Monitor refrigeration equipment and report any issues.
• Support other departments as needed.
