About The Position

The Produce Assistant Manager supports management of the produce department, including inventory, pricing, and merchandising. The role involves planning, ordering, and processing produce to maximize sales and gross profit, while ensuring the department has a supply of fresh, high-quality produce. The assistant manager also helps oversee employee labor, safety, training, and supervision, and ensures merchandise is correctly ordered, received, unloaded, stored, and displayed. The position requires adherence to strict sanitation, food safety, and personal hygiene standards, as well as completion of other tasks assigned by management.
