About The Position

The Produce-Floral Manager leads the management of department inventory, pricing integrity, and other operational processes requiring significant attention to detail. This is a fast-paced role that calls for efficiency, effectiveness, and a passion for excellence. The manager helps deliver The Fresh Market’s mission of making everyday eating extraordinary for guests.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of progressive management experience in supermarkets, retail, restaurants, hotels, or general business.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
• Proven ability to deliver an exceptional guest experience while achieving performance goals.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Basic proficiency with POS systems, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Food safety certification, or ability to obtain it after hire.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s degree in business, retail management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in grocery, fresh food retail, hospitality, or a high-volume specialty retail environment.
• Knowledge of inventory management systems and financial reporting.
• Bilingual skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and proactively assist them in a friendly manner, providing accurate and timely service recommendations and accommodating special requests.
• Manage order guides and ordering deadlines, and reduce shrink and damage.
• Receive and stock goods properly, following rotation standards when replenishing product levels.
• Direct teams in handling, slicing, and preparing specialty produce items, fruit and vegetable platters and trays, and Convenient Meal Solutions throughout the day while maintaining quality product levels according to The Fresh Market standards.
• Engage, motivate, coach, and train team members on the job and through The Fresh Market’s internal training platform.
• Help provide excellent guest service in a safe and secure manner.
