About The Position

The Produce-Floral Manager leads management of department inventory, pricing integrity, and other operational processes requiring significant attention to detail. This is a fast-paced position requiring efficiency, effectiveness, and a passion for excellence to deliver results. The manager helps provide guests with friendly, accurate, and timely service and ensures department products and operations meet The Fresh Market’s standards.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of management experience in retail, restaurant, or hospitality.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow planograms, layouts, and department merchandising schematics.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and proactively assist them in a friendly manner with accurate and timely service recommendations and accommodation of special requests.
• Manage order guides and ordering deadlines, and reduce shrink and damage.
• Receive and stock goods properly, following rotation standards when replenishing product levels.
• Direct teams in handling, slicing, and preparing specialty produce items, fruit and vegetable platters and trays, and Convenient Meal Solutions throughout the day while maintaining quality product levels according to The Fresh Market standards.
• Engage, motivate, coach, and train team members on the job and through The Fresh Market’s internal training platform to provide excellent guest service in a safe and secure manner.
