Procurement/Customer Service Representative
About The Position
Teledyne Energetics, comprised of Teledyne Electronic Safety Products (TESP) and Teledyne RISI Inc. (RISI), develops electronic safe-and-arm systems and detonators for military, space, commercial, and oil exploration and production applications. The Procurement/Customer Service Representative supports purchasing, inventory control, material planning, forecasting, and customer service to maintain production continuity and fulfill customer orders on time. The role coordinates with suppliers and internal departments regarding material availability, quotations, order processing, and delivery schedules.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Three to five years of purchasing, customer service, material planning, inventory control, or related experience.
- Strong communication, organization, documentation, follow-up, problem-solving, and Excel skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and work effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee).
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Candidates must complete a satisfactory background check and pass a drug screen before employment.
- Regular use of a computer, telephone, and office equipment; ability to sit, stand, and walk during the workday and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field.
- Manufacturing and ERP system experience.
Responsibilities
- Issue and manage purchase orders for materials, components, supplies, and services.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier pricing, lead times, availability, specifications, and delivery commitments.
- Track open orders, expedite deliveries, and resolve shortages, late deliveries, order changes, substitutions, and invoice discrepancies.
- Review purchase requisitions and maintain accurate purchasing, supplier, inventory, quotation, and order records.
- Provide customer order status, delivery, product availability, and schedule updates.
- Assist with quotations, sales order entry, order changes, expedites, and customer delivery requirements.
- Coordinate with Operations, Production, Planning, Customer Service, Quality, Finance, and Shipping to meet business and customer needs.
- Support audits, documentation requests, and process improvements involving purchasing, inventory, planning, and order fulfillment.
