OBJECTIVE Reporting to the Director of Procurement, Canada, the Procurement Coordinator is mainly responsible for facilitating purchase orders and ensuring the accuracy of proper product flow while coordinating with the Procurement, Sales and Logistics Departments.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 2-3 years of procurement experience (produce industry experience is considered a strong asset)
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of supply chain management/logistics
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong administrative skills including coordination of paperwork and data entry
  • Proficient in MS Office and strong knowledge of inventory management software
  • Detail oriented and ability to stay self-motivated and highly organized and prioritize
  • Strong problem solving skills, process-focused
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently
  • Flexibility and willingness to work outside of regular working hours as required
  • Ability to travel from time to time (local)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in supply chain management or equivalent is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate/support all activities during the procurement process.
  • Maintain accuracy of aging and distressed inventory and follow up on determined course of action in coordination with Procurement, Production and QA departments.
  • Analyze production repack reports and coordinate with Buyers and Production Department on discrepancies.
  • Initiate/manage/complete vendor claims in coordination with procurement department.
  • Track production packouts for vendor payments.
  • Maintain accuracy of inventory levels within the inventory management system.
  • Enter purchase orders.
  • Enter and track administrative paperwork related to procurement department (ministerial exceptions, import permits).
  • Assist procurement department with forecasting and demand planning.
  • Other duties as required by the Director of Procurement, Canada.
