About The Position

The Procurement Coordinator is responsible for helping to support, adhere and further establish procurement guidelines based on the strategies and goals within Henkels & McCoy. The position supports Regional Procurement by providing analytical support, administrative maintenance and proactive monitoring & transactional activity within relevant systems. This is a contract-to-hire position for six months.

Requirements

  • Minimum of High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Detailed oriented, well-organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), interpersonal and customer service skills in the daily execution of key functions while coordinating with all areas and levels within the region.

  • Ability to effectively plan, organize, prioritize, and multi-task daily work assignments, with consistent follow through
  • Proficiency at intermediate level using MS Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint

  • High degree of integrity and adherence to professional business practices, ethics and personal code of conduct.
  • This is contract-to-hire position for six months.

Responsibilities

  • Experience managing moderately complex purchase orders and change orders.
  • Ability to execute purchase orders, change orders, and requests for proposals.
  • Develop and maintain Outline Agreements and Source Lists and monitor the PO process across multiple categories.
  • Support the execution of purchasing and sourcing strategies, addressing both short- and long-term material needs.
  • Participate in negotiations to achieve best value and favorable commercial terms for purchase orders, change orders, RFPs, contracts, and agreements.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with multiple managers and leaders.
  • Supplier administration, including understanding the regional supplier base, supporting new supplier registrations, and maintaining accurate supplier data.
  • Collaborate closely with the Legal Department on subcontractor activities, including initiating agreements, validating insurance, and tracking status.
  • Prior experience with ERP systems, particularly JD Edwards.
