As a Procurement Chef, you will support Food & Nutrition Services for a 349-bed hospital by overseeing purchasing, inventory management, and floor stock operations. You will lead a team and partner with other department leaders to ensure product availability for patient dining, retail, and catering operations while maintaining quality and cost controls.

Requirements

3+ years of culinary, purchasing, inventory, or foodservice management experience.
Strong knowledge of procurement, inventory control, and food cost management.
Previous leadership experience managing and developing teams.
Proficiency with inventory systems and Microsoft Office, including Excel.

Nice To Haves

Healthcare, hospital, or high-volume foodservice experience preferred.
Associate's degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
ServSafe Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage food, beverage, and supply ordering for the department.
Oversee inventory, floor stock, receiving, and storeroom operations.
Lead and develop a team responsible for procurement and inventory functions.
Monitor food costs, inventory usage, and purchasing trends to support budget goals.
Collaborate with the Executive Chef and leadership team on menus, product sourcing, and operational initiatives.
Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards.
Support new programs and process improvements that enhance operational efficiency.
