About The Position

Jungle Jim’s International Market is looking for a detail-oriented team member to join our Procurement department. This is an administrative support role, not a buying position. Procurement helps keep vendor and item information accurate, reviews purchase orders before they move to Purchasing, and researches and resolves cost and payment discrepancies.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Strong spreadsheet skills
Good communication and organizational skills
Comfort researching discrepancies and tracing problems across multiple records and systems

Nice To Haves

Prior experience with procurement, purchasing, pricing, inventory, invoices, or vendor relations is helpful, but not required

Responsibilities

Process vendor cost and price changes and keep cost records current in our back-office system
Correct, update, and maintain item information, vendor costs, deals, and allowances
Prepare new-item files for the Pricing department to import into the system and create new records when needed
Review purchase orders before approval, comparing quantities ordered with on-hand inventory and sales and verifying costs and deals
Research and correct costs, allowances, deals, and other inaccuracies on purchase orders rejected by vendors
Investigate discrepancies across purchase orders, invoices, vendor communications, and system records
Communicate directly with vendors and work with Buyers and Purchasing to resolve issues
Research and resolve vendor disputes involving payments
Handle occasional store-floor or field work as needed
