About The Position

Roskam Foods is a contract manufacturer headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan, producing frozen, refrigerated, and shelf-stable products for food brands, retailers, and food service providers. The Procurement Associate supports procurement administration and sourcing activities, helping maintain accurate supplier, product, and purchasing information and support business objectives.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or a related field.
1–4 years of experience in purchasing, administrative support, or a related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or JD Edwards.
Experience with food manufacturing.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

Facilitate supplier onboarding and ensure required records are complete, accurate, and compliant.
Coordinate onboarding new items into procurement and ERP systems, collecting pricing, specifications, and master data requirements.
Assign material numbers according to company naming conventions and data standards.
Create and track purchase orders for projects, capital expenditures, and operational needs, aligning them with budgets, timelines, and procurement policies.
Collect, maintain, and analyze supplier and product information for reporting, including supplier diversity, country of origin, spend analysis, and compliance metrics.
Support sourcing events by gathering quotations, coordinating supplier communications, and maintaining sourcing documentation.
Identify and facilitate improvements to procurement workflows, data quality, and operational efficiency.
Maintain supplier agreement administration, including document retention and record maintenance.
Collaborate with Procurement Specialists and cross-functional teams to support sourcing initiatives and business objectives.
