About The Position

Roskam Foods is a contract manufacturer producing frozen, refrigerated, and shelf-stable products for food brands, retailers, and food service providers. The Procurement Associate supports procurement administration and operations, including supplier and item onboarding, purchase order management, sourcing activities, data maintenance, and supplier agreement records. The role collaborates with Procurement Specialists and cross-functional teams to support sourcing initiatives and business objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–4 years of experience in purchasing, administrative support, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or JD Edwards.
• Experience with food manufacturing.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate supplier onboarding and ensure required records are complete, accurate, and compliant.
• Facilitate timely onboarding of new items into procurement and ERP systems by collecting pricing, specifications, and master data requirements.
• Assign material numbers in accordance with company naming conventions and data standards.
• Create and track purchase orders for projects, capital expenditures, and operational needs in alignment with budgets, timelines, and procurement policies.
• Collect, maintain, and analyze supplier and product information for reporting, including supplier diversity, country of origin, spend analysis, and compliance metrics.
• Support sourcing events by gathering quotations, coordinating supplier communications, and maintaining sourcing documentation.
• Identify and facilitate improvements to procurement workflows, data quality, and operational efficiency.
• Maintain supplier agreements through document retention and record maintenance.
• Collaborate with Procurement Specialists and cross-functional teams to support sourcing initiatives and business objectives.
