For information about CPE, visit our website at https://www.alberta.ca/cpe.CPE is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement and Vendor Relations Coordinator to advance consistent approaches to vendor and contract management while supporting accountability, value for money, and operational excellence. The Procurement and Vendor Relations Coordinator helps coordinate and administer contracts for communications, marketing, research, and engagement services. In this role, you will support contract tracking, reporting, billing, payments, and vendor relations while contributing to continuous improvements and efficiencies. The position serves as a central liaison for vendors while supporting contract managers throughout the contract lifecycle. The successful candidate will: Coordinate vendor and contract administration activities across CPE in accordance with government procurement policies Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors regarding billing, payments, reporting, and contract administration matters. Maintain contract tracking and reporting systems to support oversight and accountability. Assist contract managers throughout the contract lifecycle, track key contract milestones, and ensure contract managers adhere to designated responsibilities. Support the development and implementation of standardized processes, tools, and reporting frameworks. Monitor upcoming contract and standing offer expirations and renewals and maintain relevant schedules. Identify and escalate contract risks as well as opportunities for process efficiencies and continuous improvement. Requirements

  • University graduation in a related field, such as Business Administration or Commerce, preferably with a focus in supply chain management.
  • Equivalencies:Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of: 1 year of education for 1 year of experience or 1 year of experience for 1 year of education

Nice To Haves

  • Strong knowledge and eexperience working with enterprise resource planning, procurement, or supply chain management systems, such as 1GX, Ariba, or comparable systems
  • Understanding and demonstrated experience in contract and vendor management as well as government procurement practices
  • Strong understanding of budget management (estimates, invoices, tracking and reporting)
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in using data analysis, reporting and digital tools to support contract administration and operational decision-making. Experience with artificial intelligence tools is considered an asset.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite products, including Microsoft Co-pilot or other AI-enabled productivity tools is considered an asset.
  • High level of political acumen and an understanding of government structure and decision-making processes.
