About The Position

Boeing Global Services (BGS) C-17 Government Repairs is seeking an Associate or Experienced Procurement Agent/Buyer (Level 2 or Level 3) to join our Dallas, TX site. The ideal Procurement Agent (Buyer) will be an integral member of the Boeing Government Repairs Procurement team. This role provides oversight and management of supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery, and financial performance. The Procurement Agent leads the negotiation of pricing and contract terms and conditions, prepares and executes negotiation strategies resulting in contractual documents and binding agreements, and interprets and enforces contract terms and conditions. They will consult with external customers to resolve supplier performance issues and lead supplier performance teams to develop strategic supplier solutions across programs and commodities. Additionally, the role involves participating on supply chain process improvement teams and identifying improvement opportunities for potential integration into supplier contract strategies.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of related work experience
  • 3+ years' experience functioning in a cross-functional environment
  • Experience drafting, negotiating and executing complex contracts and subcontracts
  • Experience interpreting and/or enforcing contract terms and conditions
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • 6+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor's degree or higher preferred but not required
  • 3+ years' experience working with Supplier Management, Supply Chain, and/or Procurement practices and processes
  • 3+ years' experience managing supplier relationships, strategic partnerships and supplier performance
  • 3+ years' experience in a role utilizing business acumen and understanding

Responsibilities

  • Plans and implements activities related to the timely, cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
  • Responsible for researching, sourcing, evaluating and processing orders to purchase services, supplies and equipment based on price, service, quality and warranty to meet customer needs.
  • Performs continuous review and analysis of demand and supply, optimizing execution of the supply chain while balancing inventory, supply orders and schedule demand.
  • Prepares and executes proprietary information agreements.
  • Supports sourcing strategies, negotiations and documenting of contracts and agreements.
