About The Position

This position is for a Proctor for the Fall 2026 semester in the Faculty of Science, specifically within the Department of Chemistry and Biomolecular Sciences. The role involves proctoring midterm and final exams. The academic year runs from September 1 to August 31. Undergraduate students will be paid at a rate of $29.64 per hour, while graduate students will be paid $35.57 per hour. These rates do not include vacation or statutory pay and are subject to change upon ratification of a new collective agreement. The language of work is English and French. All University of Ottawa employees are required to complete mandatory legislated training. The hiring process is governed by the CUPE 2626 collective agreement. Requirements

• 1 full year of general chemistry
• 1 full year of organic chemistry
• CHM 2454
• CHM 2131/2132 or their equivalents
• Successful completion of WHIMIS and Occupational Health and Safety workshops
