About The Position

The Processing Worker I sorts, inspects, cleans, prices, and tallies donated goods for sale in a Goodwill store. The role also accepts and safeguards donations, helps stock the sales floor, assists with loading and unloading trucks, and provides customer service to donors and customers. Processing and donation areas must be kept clean, safe, and organized. The position pays $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months of recent processing experience or successful graduation from a GISD employment program.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Knowledge of quality clothing and well-known merchandise brand names preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sort, inspect, clean, price, and tally donated goods for the sales floor.
• Push racks and carts to the retail floor and help stock the floor and pull merchandise.
• Open and close the donations area.
• Accept and safeguard donations and keep processing and donation areas clean, safe, and organized.
• Provide excellent customer service to donors and customers.
• Assist truck helpers and drivers with loading and unloading trucks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
