Processing Worker I
About The Position
The Processing Worker I sorts, inspects, cleans, prices, and tallies donated goods for sale in a Goodwill store. The role also accepts and safeguards donations, stocks and pulls merchandise on the retail floor, and provides customer service to donors and customers. The worker helps keep processing and donation areas clean, safe, and organized and assists truck helpers and drivers with loading and unloading. Goodwill is a mission-integrated organization funded by resalable goods; proceeds support job readiness training and employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities and barriers to employment.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months of recent processor experience or successful graduation from a GISD employment program.
- Provide excellent customer service to donors and customers.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
- Knowledge of quality clothing and merchandise famous brand names preferred.
Responsibilities
- Sort, inspect, clean, price, and tally donations for the sales floor.
- Push racks and carts to the retail floor and assist with stocking the floor and pulling merchandise.
- Open and close the donations area.
- Accept and safeguard donations.
- Keep processing and donation areas clean, safe, and organized.
- Provide excellent customer service to donors and customers.
- Assist truck helpers and drivers with loading and unloading trucks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
