Processing Technician
About The Position
The Processing Technician ensures collected plasma products and samples are processed, handled, stored, and prepared for shipment safely and accurately. Reporting to the Center Manager, this role is responsible for timely plasma processing, maintaining appropriate storage conditions, and packing and shipping products and samples in accordance with established protocols and safety standards. The position is suited to someone who works well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and brings attention to detail, reliability, and integrity. This is a full-time hourly position scheduled for 40 hours per week at the center.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proficiency in computer skills for data entry and electronic record management.
- Strong attention to detail, interpersonal and communication skills, adaptability, problem-solving abilities, and composure under pressure.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Comfort working around whole blood, blood plasma, and bio-waste.

- Previous plasma experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform product processing procedures in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure timely processing of collected plasma, managing one unit at a time during initial processing.
- Store products in the appropriate storage areas as indicated by SOPs.
- Pack products while adhering strictly to time and temperature requirements.
- Comply with infection control and safety protocols throughout the process.
