About The Position

The Processing Technician ensures collected plasma products and samples are processed, handled, stored, and prepared for shipment safely and accurately. Reporting to the Center Manager, this role is responsible for timely processing of collected plasma, maintaining appropriate storage conditions, and packing and shipping products and samples in accordance with established protocols and safety standards. The position suits someone who works well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and demonstrates attention to detail, reliability, and integrity. This is a full-time hourly position working 40 hours per week at the center. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Proficient computer skills for data entry and electronic record management.
Strong attention to detail, interpersonal and communication skills, adaptability, problem-solving abilities, and composure under pressure.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Comfort working around whole blood, blood plasma, and bio-waste.

Responsibilities

Perform product processing procedures in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements.
Ensure timely processing of collected plasma, managing one unit at a time during initial processing.
Store products in the appropriate storage areas as indicated by SOPs.
Pack products while strictly adhering to time and temperature requirements.
Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols throughout the process.
