About The Position

The Heat Treat Operator I performs entry-level production activities in the Heat Treat department supporting the manufacturing of fasteners. Responsibilities include washing parts, loading and unloading equipment, moving material, maintaining part identification and assisting with heat treat operations while following established work instructions, quality requirements and safety procedures.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in an extreme hot environment.
  • Perform general labor as required, be shift flexible, and work overtime as required
  • Follow all EHS Policies, Procedures and reports all incidents immediately
  • Maintains a clean and orderly workplace in accordance with 5S standards
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 0-6 month experience in manufacturing environment
  • Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant’s ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.

Responsibilities

  • Wash and clean parts using designated parts-washing equipment and established procedures.
  • Load and unload parts from washers, furnaces, and baskets prepare and stage parts for heat treatment and subsequent manufacturing operations
  • Assist with operating heat treat equipment under established procedures and direction of trained personnel.
  • Follow work instructions and routers
  • Maintain proper identification and separation of parts and production lots throughout the process.
  • Move parts and materials safely throughout the work area using appropriate material handling equipment
  • perform basic visual checks of parts before and after processing
  • complete required production paperwork and accurately record basic processing information
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment
  • Participate in required training and cross training to develop knowledge of Heat Treat operations
  • Perform other production duties as assigned
