About The Position

The Processing I position maintains product flow and ensures that all product is handled in compliance with Herbruck’s Quality Standards. The role follows company food safety, good manufacturing practice, animal welfare, biosecurity, and safety requirements. Work includes preparing equipment and the work area, reviewing run sheets, checking cartons or cases and their date codes and stamps, and communicating with supporting positions. The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, including extended periods of standing or walking and repeated lifting.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
Willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as assigned.
Must not own or maintain routine contact with swine, birds, goats, cattle, or unprocessed lane.
Able to stand and/or walk for extended periods on concrete floors.
Able to stoop, bend, climb, and lift at least 25 pounds continuously throughout the day.

Responsibilities

Follow all company HACCP rules and GMPs.
Comply with animal welfare standards and report incidents of abuse, neglect, or breaches of biosecurity.
Follow the required glove policy when handling COSTCO products, depending on location.
Review and understand the run sheet.
Prepare assigned equipment and the work area.
Ensure product cartons or cases are correct and that date coding and stamps are legible and compliant.
Communicate effectively with supporting positions.
Complete all tasks for the position listed on the Observation form.
Follow company safety rules, use proper PPE, and complete required monthly safety training.
Obtain LOTO authorization and PIT certification when required by job duties.
