Johnston County Department of Social Services has an immediate opening for a Processing Assistant III. This position works with the Medicaid Division Director and other management staff. The employee will be responsible for data collection and entry into local and state systems, taking minutes, proofreading materials, scheduling, and disseminating information. This position can be cross trained to serve as a receptionist and rotate mail pickup and delivery when needed, greet customers and visitors and assist with directing them to the appropriate location and or services needed. Periodic performance of emergency on-call duties may also be required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, the ability to multi-task, be people-oriented, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills are important for interacting with internal and external customers. Excellent organization and computer skills are a must with attention to detail and accuracy. Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Providing a variety of office support and technical assistance to accomplish mail flow throughout the agency. Receiving, prepping and scanning mail into the electronic data management system. Interacting with internal and external customers in regards to supply requests and orders, delivery of mail, and questions regarding items scanned. The person selected for this position must perform the above duties while ensuring that timeliness and documentation requirements are maintained as mandated by State and County regulations.
