About The Position

Micron Technology is seeking motivated Process Technicians within the Advanced Packaging Technology Development (APTD) department. This role is at the forefront of innovation, driving the advancement of memory and storage Interconnects and Packaging solutions that transform how the world uses information. Micron is dedicated to developing innovative processes and technologies that enable the creation of next-generation semiconductor products which drive the AI revolution. By collaborating closely with our global R&D, equipment and materials suppliers, and manufacturing teams, we ensure the efficient development, transfer and implementation of new technology nodes, maintaining Micron's leadership in the industry. As a Manufacturing Process Technician, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and improving equipment performance in collaboration with operations teams, engineers, and vendors. Your role includes performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and software issues, and ensuring efficient product flow. You will also support cycle time reduction by addressing tool inefficiencies, verifying lot processing, and analyzing workstation performance to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts (3 days on/4 days off and 4 days on/3 days off), progress between day and night shifts every 4 months, and adapt to different shifts and overtime as needed to support business operations.
  • Must be capable of regularly lifting 25-40 pounds, which constitutes approximately 10% of the job duties.
  • Capable of standing for long periods, walking up to 5 miles per shift, and performing light assembly tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • AAS or AS Degree and/or STEM-related degree or equivalent military training and experience
  • 1+ year experience using SPC software (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
  • 2+ years of industry experience or equivalent military training and experience.
  • 2+ years experience identifying performance gaps and implementing strategic improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Complete required safety training and consistently follow safety protocols during all work activities.
  • Identify and resolve chronic inefficiencies through continuous improvement initiatives, training, or area suggestions.
  • Review and prioritize Prod/Dev hold lots, escalating issues as needed to maintain workflow.
  • Perform technical tests and experiments to support R&D engineering in semiconductor wafer fabrication.
  • Set up and operate semiconductor processing equipment; monitor and guide line operators to ensure quality.
  • Analyze test run data and prepare reports to assist engineering teams in identifying yield issues or validating new products.
  • Communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats, manage time and tasks to meet deadlines independently.
