SAIC•Hampton, VA

About The Position

SAIC is seeking a Process Systems Engineer for the Air Operations Center Weapons System (AOC WS) Falconer Program. The role drives optimization, continuous improvement, and systems-level thinking across enterprise programs. Its focus includes engineering lifecycle management, business process re-engineering, stakeholder requirement translation, and sustaining existing system baselines. The position applies systems engineering and configuration management principles and processes, with attention to mission planning and scheduling, data normalization and standardization, data integrity, and workflow identification and analysis. The engineer interacts directly with customers and contractors, responds to information requests, and supports technical meetings, interchanges, and enterprise working groups. The engineer provides modification and sustaining engineering design and analysis to maintain fielded AOC WS baselines. This includes assessing Government requirements and design documentation; overseeing Government plans, procedures, and execution; providing systems engineering support for the Government Product Lifecycle Management Tool (PLMT) and other approved lifecycle tools; and ensuring design, development, integration, and testing tools are integrated with the PLMT and other approved Government tools. The role uses Lean/Six Sigma and systems-thinking methods to connect business operations with technical capabilities, represents SAIC and the program in meetings, and communicates systems engineering requirements effectively to software development teams.
