About The Position

The Process Quality Auditor is responsible for performing assigned tests and audits on materials, goods in process, and finished goods to ensure they meet Company quality standards. This role involves analyzing audit results, reporting findings, and conducting various quality checks including visual inspections, variable measurements, and process audits. The auditor will also be responsible for preparing metallographic mounts, managing precious material inventory, and maintaining quality records. Additionally, the role may involve acting as a department clerk, collecting scrap samples, training employees, conducting gage and capability studies, and performing basic metals analysis. Basic computer skills for data entry are required.

Requirements

Perform assigned tests/audits on material (e.g. incoming materials), goods in process or finished goods where results are compared with Company quality standards.
Analyze audit results and report findings to the process supervisor, process quality engineer or process manager.
Audit product for visual defects.
Conduct variable type measurements for quality check of required product features.
Audit manufacturing processes, machine settings, gauges and test instruments in use, quality records (both paper and electronic), tool charts, job inspection charts and SPC charts, to ensure all operator quality requirements are followed.
Record results on forms, charts or other media.
Post and maintain information on audits and report same appropriately.
Write discrepant material reports as required.
Prepare Metallographic mounts (for example, GBW, CBW, Knoop, etc.).
Perform etching of shells where required.
Account/inventory precious material.
Ability to work overtime.
Basic computer skills and knowledge of database and/or spreadsheet data entry applications required.
