About The Position

Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for a Quality Auditor at our Conover, NC manufacturing plant. Carpenter Co. employees are committed to working hard to ensure production goals are met while maintaining operations excellence. As the Quality Auditor, you will be expected to communicate with Plant Management, Department Managers and Supervisors as to the status of product quality. Help inspect finished product being submitted for customer approval. Use lab equipment and saws to perform testing to exact procedures.

Requirements

Basic computer knowledge and the ability to use computerized equipment in daily operations.
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
Must be able to work with little or no supervision.
Must be able to operate a forklift.
Must have the ability to read and interpret a tape measure.
Learn to use lab equipment and operate a vertical cutting saw.

Responsibilities

Audit product and determine if it meets established specification.
Record audit results and distribute the information to proper plant personnel.
Record audit results into computer database.
Perform incoming inspections of raw material.
Help train production employees on the correct work procedures and materials to be used.
Record Certificate of Analysis information into the computer database.
Measure and report product dimensions.
Ability to read and interpret a tape measure.
Read and understand test specifications and follow them.
Report on Label Accuracy.
Must be able to lift and maneuver foam weighing 50 pounds.
Fill in for the Quality Technician on an as-needed basis.
Operate the baler as needed.
Assume any other functions requested by supervision.
