About The Position

OceanaGold is seeking a Part Time Process Operations Technician to join their team at the Haile Gold Mine in South Carolina. This role reports to the Operations Shift Supervisor and is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of process equipment and systems. Part-time employees can work up to 29 hours per week. The company is committed to safe, responsible mining and fostering a supportive work environment focused on safety and teamwork.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (higher education preferred)
Prior experience in industrial operations or water treatment beneficial
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Physical ability to stand, sit, climb stairs, and lift up to 25 pounds
Willingness to work in a surface mine plant setting with exposure to various environmental conditions
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment
Must pass pre-employment and ongoing random drug testing

Responsibilities

Perform all duties with a focus on safety, environmental stewardship, and best operating practices.
Operate and maintain process equipment and systems according to standard procedures and supervisor instructions.
Troubleshoot operational problems, complete repairs, and perform preventative maintenance duties.
Monitor and record operational data, including production rates and inventory levels.
Conduct visual inspections and perform necessary maintenance on equipment.
Demonstrate competency in operating fixed and mobile equipment.
Continuously seek to improve work environment and processes.
