Requirements

Candidates must be pursuing a mechanical engineering, biological engineering, biosystems engineering, civil engineering, or chemical engineering degree from an ABET accredited program.

Responsibilities

Assist with WDC projects including: New water and wastewater treatment plants. Rehabilitations and improvements for existing treatment facilities.
Assist in developing drawings for various treatment processes
Optimize specifications for equipment and construction materials
Learn and use design software to model pumping systems and hydraulics
Develop project cost estimates
Develop calculations and tools to solve design problems
Provide peer reviews to ensure quality standards are met
Review contractor submittments for projects in construction
Attend site visits
