About The Position

Excelitas is a global technology leader with more than 7,500 employees, focused on delivering market-driven solutions to fulfill the illumination, optical, detection and imaging needs of OEMs and end-users across the biomedical, semiconductor, industrial, consumer products, scientific, security, defense and aerospace sectors. We are currently looking for a Process Manager to lead a team responsible for providing support for manufacturing and assembly processes, supporting product industrialization, and demonstrating innovation.

Requirements

Master's degree in electrical, physical, or mechanical engineering and excellent skills in semiconductor physics. A bachelor's degree is acceptable if the candidate has at least five (5) years of additional relevant experience.
Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the manufacture or assembly of silicon or IIIV devices.
Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience.
Basic knowledge of the physics of sensors and emitters manufactured on silicon or IIIV materials.
Six Sigma certification, green belt essential (black belt training or certification is an asset).
Training, knowledge, and experience in project management.
Fluent in French (written and spoken) and good communication skills in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

Enforce occupational health and safety measures.
Lead and ensure the performance of a team of scientists/engineers and specialized technicians.

Report to management and the corporation.
Use the Six Sigma methodology in all your activities and those of your group, and promote this method.
Work closely with various stakeholders to evaluate investments to support the company's growth.
Prepare the necessary justifications to obtain approval for financing and purchases of new equipment. Monitor the activation of investments.
Aim to achieve financial objectives by developing budgets and controlling costs.
Perform other related tasks as required
