About The Position

This internship focuses on supporting high altitude balloon and electronics manufacturing. The intern will complete assigned projects within their discipline, working closely with a mentor and manager. Responsibilities include providing project updates, delivering a summer-end internship presentation, and potentially performing similar duties or assisting in other areas as needed. A key aspect of the role involves learning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the division's quality management system in accordance with ISO standards.

Requirements

• College student pursuing a degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering
• Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, without close supervision
• Problem-solving abilities. Ability to identify waste and creatively look for solutions
• Ability to work with a high level of confidentiality
• Capacity to be flexible and multitask
• Proficient with computers, including Microsoft Office
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members

Responsibilities

• Support high altitude balloon and electronics manufacturing
• Complete projects as assigned within internship discipline
• Work closely with assigned mentor and manager to reach a successful completion of internship
• Provide periodic updates to managers and peers on assigned project(s)
• Complete summer end internship presentation
• May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed
• Learning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the division’s quality management system in accordance with ISO standards
