About The Position

Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, Inc., a member of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, is recruiting students for a 2027 Spring Co-Op within the Process Engineering organization. This co-op program provides students with real-life hands-on experience, coaching and mentoring, and networking opportunities. Participants will work on projects that improve leadership, analytical, and project management skills. The role involves being part of the design, development, manufacturing, and commercialization of new products or product modifications, with opportunities for cross-functional teamwork in an interactive environment designed to develop capabilities and skills for a strong career foundation. The typical term for the spring co-op is January - June (dates are flexible), with a preference for candidates able to complete multiple rotations. The assignment will be onsite, and while transportation is the student's responsibility, the role may offer a one-time housing stipend assistance. Full-time availability (40 hours per week) is required. Career mentorship and networking opportunities are available.

Requirements

• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Candidate must be actively enrolled in an accredited University for the duration of a co-op assignment pursuing a Bachelor’s and/or Master's in mechanical engineering, materials engineering, chemical engineering, or other related field.
• Minimum GPA of 2.8 is required
• Must have completed one year of school by the start of the co-op
• Availability to work full-time, 40hrs./week for the duration of the co-op is required
• Availability to complete multiple rotations of a co-op is required
• Ability to provide transportation to/from the work location if on-site work is required
• Ability to demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills is required
• Must be a self-starter who works independently while contributing to the team goals
• Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future.
• Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.
• Ineligible for severance.
• If you are under 18 years of age, you (the candidate) may need to obtain the necessary working papers or other documentation required by state law to start the assignment, as well as get a parent’s consent for the background check.

Responsibilities

• Collect and Analyze data to find opportunities for improvement
• Drive and influence continuous improvement activities in collaboration with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering departments
• Supervise key operational performance indicators and report results versus the established business goals and objectives.
