About The Position

Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, Inc., a member of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, is recruiting students for a 2027 Spring Co-Op within the Process Engineering organization. Positions are located in Jacksonville, FL. The co-op program provides each student with real-life hands-on experience, coaching and mentoring, and networking opportunities. Be involved in the design, development, manufacturing and commercialization of new products or product modifications. The spring co-op typical term is January - June (dates are flexible). The team would prefer the candidate to be able to complete multiple rotations of a co-op. Assignment will be onsite. The role may offer a one-time housing stipend assistance. Transportation is the student’s responsibility. Full-time availability (40 hours per week) is required. Career mentorship is available with endless networking opportunities within the assigned team and beyond. Pay rate is determined based on the grade level at the time of offer. This position is overtime eligible. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs, such as medical benefits and sick time.

Requirements

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Candidate must be actively enrolled in an accredited University for the duration of a co-op assignment pursuing a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s in mechanical engineering, materials engineering, chemical engineering, or other related field.
Minimum GPA of 2.8 is required.
Must have completed one year of school by the start of the co-op.
Availability to work full-time, 40hrs./week for the duration of the co-op is required.
Availability to complete multiple rotations of a co-op is required.
Ability to provide transportation to/from the work location if on-site work is required.
Ability to demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills is required.
Ability to balance multiple projects and initiatives while executing results.
Must be a self-starter who works independently while contributing to the team goals.
Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.
Ineligible for severance.

Nice To Haves

Excellent communication, presentation skills and leadership skills are preferred.
Proven leadership/participation with campus programs and/or community service activities is desired.

Responsibilities

Collect and analyze data to find opportunities for improvement.
Drive and influence continuous improvement activities in collaboration with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering departments.
Supervise key operational performance indicators and report results versus the established business goals and objectives.
