Process Engineer Intern (Year-Round)

About The Position

Gain hands-on experience supporting manufacturing operations through root cause analysis, data collection and statistical analysis, and Lean continuous improvement initiatives. You'll partner with cross-functional teams to solve real-world engineering challenges and drive operational excellence. This is a year-round internship with a part-time schedule (15-20 hours/week) during the academic year and a full-time schedule (40 hours/week) during the summer. The internship is located in Saukville, WI, and is expected to start in May 2027.

Requirements

  • Enrollment in a four-year degree program in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or a related field with current status of at least a Sophomore standing.
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to succeed in a team environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma Skills
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the draw departments to improve production efficiency, product quality, and assist in the implementation of standards.
  • Performing time studies, working with operators on how to improve the process, and identifying root causes of production issues.
