About The Position

The Process Engineer II develops and characterizes dry etch processes that meet process and productivity specifications, primarily for semiconductor equipment used in memory applications. The role designs and executes process optimization experiments and characterizes, compiles, and analyzes test data to establish appropriate process or material specification limits and variables. It provides input to customer demonstration experimental design and serves as a technical customer interface at customer sites. The position supports customers in the field and may involve international travel to start up and support process tools at customer sites. Travel to Japan for 1–2 years of training is required. The engineer is responsible for quality processing of material through the machine, including internal development work and customer demonstrations. The role also coordinates applications-lab machine activities, performs equipment maintenance and troubleshooting as needed, provides process and machine feedback to the factory, works with the factory on solutions, and conducts integration activities with internal business units. Collaboration with sales, marketing, and other functions helps prepare changes and modifications that support customer adoption and improve equipment quality.
