About The Position

As a Process Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in designing and optimizing manufacturing processes for display and semiconductor manufacturing technologies. You will collect and analyze data, perform hardware characterization, and troubleshoot engineering issues. You'll also measure film properties, generate technical documentation, and engage with customers to resolve concerns. Process Engineers collaborate with vendors and suppliers, and become familiar with implementing new technologies and products. You will experiment, learn, and collaborate with some of the brightest minds in the semiconductor and display industries, partnering with our globally recognized R&D teams on state-of-the-art research and development projects. This role requires you to continuously learn about new developments in advanced packaging and make decisions about processes, chemistries, materials and tools to meet product requirements.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Chemistry engineering experience especially related to plating process and chemical analysis in a development or manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience in semiconductor processing or manufacturing preferred
  • Experience in advanced packaging processing preferred
  • Experience with chemical analysis tools preferred
  • Experience on metrology equipment, FA systems (AOI, AOS, CSAM, and 3D x-ray CT), and reliability tools.
  • Knowledge of process control and statistical process control (SPC) methodologies.
  • Proficient with thin film characterization techniques (SEM, TEM, XRD, XPS, SIMS, etc.).
  • Ability to independently drive projects and deliver a product.

Responsibilities

  • The ability to complete the project and deliver the product.
  • Assist with automation wet process demonstrations, to include tool preparation, processing wafers, measuring wafers, analysis the chemicals, documentation
  • Assist with High volume manufacturing tool set-up and process optimization of wet process
  • Lead chemical analysis tools set-up involving chemical analysis and chemical testing
  • Conduct electrochemical testing/analysis to investigate impact on wet process results
  • Assist with Root Cause Analysis: Drive deep-dive Failure Analysis
  • Assist with High volume manufacturing tool set-up, FA and reliability test
