About The Position

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for a Business Process Automation Developer, supporting TOS II, at Arnold Air Force Base in Arnold, TN. The IS&T Business Process Automation Developer will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for operating and maintaining or supporting the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts. The selected candidate for this requisition may be required to occasionally work outside normal business hours. This position is predominantly allocated to the Tools Team Key Offering, functioning as an agile strike capability dedicated to rapid-turnaround, high-return-on-investment (ROI) process modernization. The primary objective is delivering rapid low-code/no-code applications, automated workflows, and executive analytics that eliminate operational bottlenecks, ensure compliance, and streamline execution across test operations and mission support. Additionally, this role provides technical troubleshooting, integration support, and maintenance for core enterprise business systems as operational priorities dictate.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of professional experience designing, configuring, and publishing applications and reporting mechanisms using Power Apps and Power BI.
  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance: Must possess an active Secret clearance at time of hire.
  • DoD 8570 Certification: Active CompTIA Security+ (or recognized equivalent IAT Level II certification).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret level security clearance and access to the AEDC local area network.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for employment at AEDC.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience supporting Arnold Air Force Base (AEDC) test units, test cells, or range data operations.
  • Demonstrated involvement with the AEDC Power Platform Governance Committee or local low-code working groups.
  • Proven track record of independently resolving multi-tiered IT, systems analysis, or operational data issues under high-tempo, mission-focused conditions.
  • Direct background supporting Executive Staff, military leadership, or engineering test managers with immediate IT/software troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with enterprise software suites such as PeopleSoft, BMC Remedy, or SharePoint Portal management.
  • Experience handling alternate closed area custodian duties, document control, or Security Accreditation packages.

Responsibilities

  • Rapidly architect, build, and deploy low-code solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI) targeted at high-visibility operational choke points.
  • Execute rapid-prototyping lifecycles to replace manual spreadsheets, disjointed paper processes, and informal tracking sheets with auditable, modern digital tools.
  • Build scheduled, event-driven, and instant automated workflows in Power Automate to orchestrate approval routing, data validation, work-order status updates, and notifications across disparate operational environments.
  • Develop interactive Power BI dashboards that transform raw aerospace test metrics, project schedules, and financial cost-accounting data into clear, actionable visualizations for Section Supervisors and Executive Leadership.
  • Provide functional and data-interface support for enterprise platforms.
  • Establish and maintain secure, reliable connectors between Microsoft 365 services, SharePoint lists, Dataverse, and downstream database repositories.
  • Perform pre-deployment testing, functional checks, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Coordinate with local Power Platform Governance bodies to ensure all Tools Team deliverables adhere to established tenant policies, naming conventions, and data loss prevention (DLP) rules.
  • Maintain absolute compliance with AEDC closed-area custodianship, information handling protocols, and Information Assurance mandates.
  • Interface directly with Military, Civil Service, Test Directors, and Contractor personnel to capture requirements, define technical acceptance criteria, and deliver targeted training for newly deployed tools.
  • Maintains comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and security models.
  • Wear company issued PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
