Boston Government Services (BGS) is seeking Procedure Writers to support clients at the Y12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor of Science degree with 10+ years’ experience in technical disciplines in addition to experience writing technical procedures in a commercial or Weapons Complex facility.
  • In lieu of Bachelor's degree, a technical background with 18 years’ experience in writing technical procedures in a commercial nuclear or Weapons Complex may be considered.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Successful drug screening.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security or clearance badge.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with Y15-232, Technical Procedure Process, and the Technical Procedure Authoring Tool (TPAT).
  • Develop or revise administrative procedures and comply with Y15-235, Administrative Management Requirements Process, and the Administrative Procedure Authoring Tool (APAT).
  • Develop Enterprise procedures applicable to Y-12 and Pantex.
  • Determine technical requirements by examining DOE Orders and Standards; 60-101PD, Quality Assurance Program Description, and Y60-015, Integrated Quality Manual; Nuclear Criticality Safety (NCS) documents; and Hazard Analysis documents.
  • Prepare and coordinate procedure reviews and comment resolution.
  • Implement hazard controls, capture quality and performance data, and ensure procedures can be performed as written through verification and validation.
  • Other duties as assigned.
