About The Position

This role is for a Procedure/Surgical Services Supervisor at the Digestive Health Center in Madison, WI. The position is 100% FTE, Monday - Friday, typically 8-hour shifts during business hours, with hours potentially varying based on operational needs. The supervisor will lead day-to-day operations and coordination of patient care services, promote staff continuing education and evidence-based practice, and facilitate interdisciplinary communication for high-quality, cost-effective care. Key responsibilities include utilizing strong professional communication and collaboration skills for feedback, conflict resolution, staff training/mentoring, and patient concern resolution. The role also involves performing procedures, moderate sedation, critical thinking, managing overall flow, and serving as an effective member of the Endoscopy management team with a focus on customer/patient perspective and organizational service standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree of Science in Nursing Required
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact Required
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification Required
  • Current ACLS Certification Required
  • 2 years relevant nursing experience Required
  • Evidence of leadership experience Required

Nice To Haves

  • Master of Science in Nursing or relevant field Preferred
  • 5 years of relevant experience in clinical practice Preferred
  • Leadership or supervisory experience with demonstrated success Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Help lead the day-to-day operations and coordination of patient care services.
  • Promote staff continuing education and evidence-based practice.
  • Facilitate communication, coordination and collaboration among disciplines regarding identification, planning and provision of high quality, cost-effective care.
  • Utilize strong professional communication and collaboration skills to provide constructive feedback and resolve conflicts, train/mentor staff, and resolve patient concerns.
  • Be able to perform procedures, moderate sedation, critical thinking and overall flow.
  • Be an effective member of the Endoscopy management team, fostering a customer/patient focused perspective and ensuring a strong commitment to organizational service standards.
