  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule medical procedures by communicating with patients, physicians, and clinical staff to confirm availability and procedural requirements.
  • Verify patient information, insurance coverage, and pre-authorization requirements to ensure compliance and smooth processing of scheduled procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date scheduling records in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other scheduling software.
  • Manage appointment changes, cancellations, and rescheduling while minimizing disruptions to clinical operations.
  • Provide timely reminders and instructions to patients regarding their scheduled procedures to promote preparedness and reduce no-shows.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments including nursing, billing, and administration to resolve scheduling conflicts and optimize resource utilization.
  • Assist in reporting and tracking scheduling metrics to identify areas for process improvement.
