Procedure Room Tech- Endoscopy-Day Shift

About The Position
Responsible for assisting with patient care in the Procedure Room. Works under the supervision of the physician to complete procedures and supports endoscopic procedures through patient positioning and comfort, instrument reprocessing, equipment coordination, and room preparation. The role also involves specimen handling, documentation, maintaining a safe and organized work environment, and performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- BLS certification.
- Six months of specialized technical training.
Responsibilities
- Work under the supervision of the physician to complete procedures.
- Clean, decontaminate, sterilize, and reprocess instruments.
- Coordinate storage of equipment.
- Complete the full sanitation process, including Chem strip enzyme reading.
- Maintain documentation through the Censitrac documentation process.
- Participate in specimen collection and handling according to hospital policy.
- Assist with patient positioning and comfort for endoscopic procedures.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Initiate start-up of the endoscopy network and photo documentation procedures.
- Stock procedure rooms and initiate reordering of supplies as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
