Pro Sales Associate - Santa Fe
About The Position
Behr Paint Company is hiring a Pro Sales Associate to work in a Home Depot store in Santa Fe, specializing in professional painting contractors and their needs. The associate works independently and with Pro Desk staff to build relationships with local contractors, learn about their businesses and projects, and provide excellent customer service. When contractors visit for paint, the associate helps identify appropriate products, mixes paint, gathers needed tools and supplies, and helps customers complete their purchases quickly so they can return to work. The role involves supporting the Home Depot Pro Desk, coordinating with Behr outside sales representatives and Home Depot staff, and entering leads and contacts into Salesforce. Work hours vary based on peak selling times and may include weekends, holidays, and shifts extending until 5:30 p.m. The position requires occasional lifting of up to 75 pounds. Previous paint or sales experience is not required; training is provided.
Requirements

- Self-starter who can identify where help is needed.
- Basic computer skills; ability to use customer management software, with training provided for Salesforce.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to work variable hours, which may include weekends, holidays, and shifts extending until 5:30 p.m.
Nice To Haves
- Prior computer knowledge.
- Ability to speak a second language; bilingual skills are a bonus.
- Previous paint or sales experience or knowledge is not required.
Responsibilities
- Introduce yourself to contractors at the Home Depot Pro Desk and learn about their businesses and needs.
- Build and maintain relationships with professional customers, following up about their jobs and future needs.
- Coordinate with Behr outside sales representatives and assist contractors who visit the store.
- Pull and tint paint orders for pickup and help customers select products and gather paint tools and supplies.
- Provide prompt, professional service to help contractors get what they need and return to work quickly.
- Work cooperatively with Home Depot staff and maintain a mutually beneficial working relationship.
- Enter new leads and contacts into Salesforce.
