About The Position

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career. As a Pro Paint Field Sales Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Implements strategies set by leadership to drive new product introductions, promotional programs, and training in the territory. Selling 3M products including Abrasives, Tapes, Masking Systems and Safety. Supports the retailer/distributor along with the end-user (home improvement trades) to provide solutions to improve job-site efficiencies and training with our portfolios. Presenting relevant information and products to customers in face-to-face presentations as well as phone calls or e-mails Demonstrating to customers how to use 3M products and how they will add value to their company. Lead and manage calls with professional paint and contractors and distributors (retail stores), and manage key stakeholders at each of these levels Willingness to be on-call to support your customers need in your geography. Company Vehicle This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Current, valid Driver’s License.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in business administration from an accredited institution
  • Three (3) years of territory sales in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Skills include presentation skills across many types of customers and end-users, strong data analytics and negotiation skills.
  • Experience translating customer needs into creative solutions.
  • Ability and willingness to prioritize multiple customers, self-motivate, and be held accountable for setting and meeting goals.
