About The Position

This position is responsible for developing customer relationships and maintaining existing customer relationships for Yellow Pages. Using effective sales techniques, he/she will generate sales revenue and develop accounts where possible. They will also ensure complete customer satisfaction. Solicitation and campaign needs must be met within the deadlines set by the division or organization. This position is responsible for the final contact with the client and ensuring that the advertising is accurate and complete. As part of the job, has overall authority to contract for the company.

Requirements

  • At least three to five years of experience in sales and marketing.
  • Must have a car and valid drivers’ license
  • Must live around the greater Toronto area
  • This position involves DAILY interactions with clients or internal and/or external professionals at the national level.
  • Working knowledge of Internet search engines, YP and online directories.
  • Good knowledge and ability to learn related to the Internet and social media.
  • Knowledge of creative and directive advertising in multiple media, including print, Internet, paid search, organic search, mobile applications and social media.
  • Strong technology skills including tablet PC, customer relationship management tools and Microsoft Office suite of applications.
  • Fight to win - Motivation derived from results in achieving goals set by the company.
  • Ability to overcome objections through perseverance and strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to calculate return on investment and understand KPIs and how they are evaluated. Basic math skills and ability to evaluate and explain numbers. Strong business acumen.

  • Fact finding and determination of customer needs while meeting deadlines.

  • A degree in business administration, marketing, or education a plus.
  • Google certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Have an excellent understanding of multimedia advertising solutions designed to drive high quality leads and ROI, and possess the ability to create, demonstrate and deliver such solutions.
  • Consult with clients to identify and present solutions focused on YP benefits.
  • Develop proposals for clients based on needs assessment.
  • Ensure all documentation and reporting is complete and accurate.
  • Understand and promote YP's products and services and continually upgrade knowledge of the same.
  • Provide exceptional service while increasing YP sales revenue by developing a value-based partnership with customers.
  • Ensure all campaign deadlines are met, and directories are closed according to schedule.
  • Maintain positive and effective relationships with clients.
  • Represent YP in a professional and enthusiastic manner to internal and external clients.
