About The Position
PRN Residential Support Staff - Direct Care. This position involves providing one-on-one support as needed to cover shifts, including days, evenings, overnights, and weekend shifts. The role is based in Asheville, NC, with a starting pay of $17.00 per hour. CooperRiis is a therapeutic healing community located in Mill Spring, NC, and is a Smoke/Drug/Alcohol Free Facility. Requirements
- Candidates need to be at least 21 years old
- Must have a clear to acceptable driving record to be on CooperRiis driver insurance
Nice To Haves
- Administration medical training a plus
- Previous experience working in a residential community or transitional living program preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide safety and security of the facility both inside and outside doing hourly rounds
- Support residents in maintaining healthy sleep schedules
- Completes bed checks as needed
- Completes timely documentation
- Assists in cleaning and organizing of community spaces
- General knowledge of resident’s goals, build rapport, and provide support
- Administration of routine and as needed medications for residents, work in the med room
- Problem-solve and work in crisis situations
- Communicate to shift staff for support when help is needed
