About The Position

Under the general direction of the nurse manager, the staff nurse provides direct patient care and collaborates with patients, families, peers, physicians, and other healthcare team members to deliver services to a specific patient population. The nurse assesses patient needs, plans, implements, and evaluates medical and nursing regimens in accordance with patient needs, professional knowledge of growth and development, the hospital and nursing philosophy, policies and procedures, and applicable standards. The role demonstrates leadership and management skills and a commitment to professional accountability and growth. Work may involve other campuses or alternate sites.

The Registered Nurse works collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to provide excellent patient care using evidence-based medicine and individualized care, and facilitates all aspects of the patient visit experience. The organization emphasizes treating the whole person—physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited professional school of nursing.
• Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice or employment.
• Valid driver’s license where required by assignment.
• Obtain chemotherapy certification within 6 months of hire.
• BLS certification required.
