PRN Paramedic
About The Position
Lumexa Imaging is seeking a PRN Paramedic to provide onsite support at their MidCities facility. The primary responsibility is to facilitate contrast injections. In the event of an adverse event, such as a contrast reaction or infiltration, the Paramedic must immediately alert the supervising radiologist via Teams audio/video for assessment and treatment instructions, including medication administration. The Paramedic is also responsible for ensuring 911 is called when necessary. Prior to onsite coverage, the candidate must provide proof of Certificate of Liability Insurance, current medical license, complete an MRI Safety Screening form, and review Emergency Response and MRI Safety training.
Requirements
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Previous experience as a certified EMT or Paramedic
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
- Facilitate contrast injections.
- Alert supervising radiologist via Teams audio/video in case of adverse events (contrast reaction, infiltration, or other situations requiring radiologist intervention).
- Assist with patient assessment and follow treatment instructions from the radiologist, including medication administration.
- Ensure 911 is called when necessary.
- Provide documentation of Certificate of Liability Insurance.
- Provide documentation of current medical license.
- Complete MRI Safety Screening form.
- Review Emergency Response and MRI Safety training.
